Is it legal to be paid this way?

My sister works in an insurance agency. She has offered to pay me a $50 a week from her own wages to make phone calls to set up appointments for her to sell to potential customers. Is this legal? Or is this one of those "under the table" scenarios that could get us into trouble? I don't want to do anything to tarnish anyone's reputation or anything against the law.
