Is it okay to adopt other people's traits?

Well humans are one big society that is cllasified by nation race etc. so i guess it isnt human to adopt other people traits, but this happens naturally, ive seen it aswell. So its pretty human if humans do it. Individuality is overrated, but i think in current situation us, i mean the people of higher IQ, should manipulate and imilate others so they'd become loyal subjects.
