I currently owned shares of Freddie Mac. What happened to those shares if the agency is taken private?

uming the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are taken private next year by the government. Thus they only allowed private shareholders. Am I one of those? Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for your answer.
