Name of TV show where comedian distracts himself all day instead of writing? about 15 yrs old I think...?

I remember he was a white male, about 30 years old in a large studio-type apartment. Similar to a Mr. Bean skit, he spend all day doing random distracting stuff. Air guitar, flipping pencils off the coffee table out the kitchen window, playing with action figures....it was HILARIOUS. Anyone recognize this skit? I am thinking it might have been on HBO or Showtime...
